By badmin April 30, 2017

Believe it or not the weather has given us some hope that Summer is around the corner! With beautiful weather and sun-filled days come one of Saratoga’s best trades. No, I’m not talking about horses, although we know Saratoga does that well too. They also know how to do outdoor dining. And if you are anything like me, I scout those places out no matter where I go. There is nothing more exciting than enjoying the warm weather and having some lunch or dinner in an outdoor setting. Whether you are from this area, moving here or just visiting, we decided to round up our top Saratoga outdoor dining picks in the following categories for you. Mind you, we’ve added a link at the bottom of the blog post. This is a mapping of ALL the outdoor dining spots in Saratoga Springs. This will be your best friend through these spring and summer months!! Enjoy!

Category 1: Date or Girl’s Night

If you are looking for a chic and sophisticated date or girl’s night spot, look no further than 15 Church’s PatioWith an outdoor setting that doesn’t disappoint, and a moveable roof for those rainy evenings, this place is spectacular! Not to mention, the food and drinks are some of the best around.

Our other favorites are Sperry’s patio which is always lit up with twinkling string lights, exotic palms and elegant table settings. They also have a bar section in this awesome patio ambiance.Salt & Char is right on Broadway and with it’s magnificent pillars and elegant heat lamps, this is another favorite. Escape to some southern charm without even having to leave Saratoga at the Mouzon House. Southern music and details take over this inviting setting. Sit outside or take a seat by the fireplace in the upstairs patio area. Large open windows that line 3 of 4 walls let you feel as though you are completely outside. Tasteful curtains are the only thing separating you from the outdoors. Chilly night? They provide blankets to warm your lap or shoulders.

Category 2: Family Friendly:

Having a young family myself, I hunt these places down! Our top picks for Family Friendly Outdoor areas are:

Druther’s Brewery is on the list. This outdoor patio has a kid’s menu that will not disappoint the littles. Not to mention some tasty brews for the beer lovers. Another great place to bring the family is Bailey’s Cafe. With live entertainment and a menu that is also kid-friendly, this place is easy to get to and once you are done eating, you can walk the family next door to the library or grab some ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s. One of our very FAVORITE summer places isLake Local. Whether you have kids or not, this place is a must-visit. Sitting right on the waterfront of Sandy Beach on Saratoga Lake, this restaurant has it all! Grab a table or hightop outside and let the kids play in the sand along the water while you wait for dinner. You can also grab a drink and sit in the Adirondack chairs that line the beach. If this doesn’t sound amazing enough, they buy everything they can locally!! On the other side of the restaurant is where live music plays most nights. Here you will often find food trucks if you just want to grab a quick bite. This place gets all the stars in our rating. Another great rooftop restaurant is Harvey’sThis Irish Pub is open 7 days a week and accommodates all guests, even the young ones. Their dishes include traditional Irish dishes and gastro pub cuisine. Top that off with a skyline view and we think this place is a top pick.(Above) Druthers(Above) Lake Local

Category 3: Sports Theme

For all of you Sports fans out there here are a few places to visit if you want to watch the game outdoors. The West Side Sports Bar & Grille is a great pick to watch the game while being outside. It sits on Congress St and has a covered patio for grabbing some food and drink while you watch the game on their 3 HD tv’s. This place is a completely smoke-free place which a huge bonus for non-smokers!Peabody’s was voted the best of Saratoga last year. They also have an outdoor patio sports bar.

Dango’s is another great outdoor sports bar on Caroline St. Always packed in the summer and serving authentic BBQ.
